Dom Oddo - Mahapac
Senior Dom Oddo of Mahopac high school is on track to become part of a very elite group of Section 1 wrestlers. This month, Oddo can become just the tenth Section 1 wrestler to grab 4 Section 1 wrestling titles.
But in January, Oddo accomplished something that no other Section 1 wrestler has. He's the first section 1 wrestler to be crowned with a coveted first place finish at the grueling Eastern States Classic wrestling tournament.
After beating Mike Doria of Massapequa 8-5 in the semi's, Dom decisioned Fordham Prep's Chris Lenzi 5-2 in the finals. And that's why Dom Oddo of Mahopac is SectionOneWrestling.com's Superman of the month for January, 2008.
