December 2007 - SectionOneWrestling.com Superman of the Month
John Jay Cross River Wrestling Team
Head coach Bill Swertfager's John Jay Cross River High School wrestling team captured first place on December 22, 2007 at the first ever dual meet championships in Section One.
Bill has built this program, which was non-existent just a few years ago, into one of the best high school wrestling programs in the entire State of New York. The program has even garnered a spot in the State team rankings, a pretty rare occurence for a Section One wrestling program. And that's why they are the SectionOneWrestling.com Supermen of the month for December.
